Configuration
Service Details
The slewing-type ship loader is a rail-mounted, electrically operated outdoor machine featuring a slewing jib and a single boom operated by two hydraulic cylinders.
The machine is equipped with a feeder conveyor, jib conveyor, slewing gear, electric motors, motor control units with variable frequency drives, luffing cylinders, traveling machinery, electrical protection devices, operating brakes, an operator's cab, and electrical enclosures, providing a complete operating system.
The ship loader travels on 8 wheels on the seaside rail and 4 wheels on the landside rail, with a rail span of 10 meters. It can travel along the gallery of the quay conveyor. At the parking position, the boom is aligned parallel to the rail direction to prevent any extension beyond the jetty toward the sea.

Dustless Technology
Ship loading can present a significant dust challenge, as material is discharged from the ship loader boom conveyor into the vessel's hold, often from heights of 20 meters or more above the hold floor. This can result in high material velocities and significant dust generation.
With a Cascade system, material descends in a controlled mass flow, minimizing air entrainment and preventing the generation of airborne dust.
The Cascade solution addresses this challenge by directing the material flow through a series of inclined cones, which reduce the flow velocity to a controlled level. The cone-shaped sections contain the material and prevent particle separation while minimizing material degradation. The low material velocity enables controlled discharge onto the stockpile with minimal segregation.
This technology virtually eliminates dust generation at the source, without the need for expensive and energy-intensive dust extraction and filtration systems.
Revision and modification of existing ship loaders into dustless, modern machinery is within ISKAR's area of expertise.
